Savannah is now Dr Minihan!
Our PHD student Savannah Minihan graduated from her PHD program, and is now, Dr Minihan! Her PHD thesis titled “Socio-affective influences on adolescent mental health problems”, explored the impact of socio-affective factors on adolescent depression and anxiety disorders using various experimental studies, and culminated in the development of a novel mental health app targeted toward improving emotion regulation in young people. Congratulations Savannah!

Annabel wins two awards
Dr Annabel Songco, Postdoctoral Research Fellow, has successfully received two UNSW Early Career Academic awards. Thanks to the UNSW Science ECAN Small Seeding Grant Scheme and the Early Career Academic COVID-19 Scheme, the funding has helped Annabel to develop a research program in child and adolescent global mental health.

PhD student, Savannah Minihan, is representing UNSW as a Women in Maths and Science Champion this year.
Throughout the 12-month program, Savannah will participate in a series of career development workshops and outreach events, to encourage and inspire girls and women to pursue a career in maths and science. Read more about the UNSW Women in Maths and Science Champions Program here.
